Pagilaran



PT Pagilaran is a Holding Company that focused in sector of plantation, industry, commerce, consultant and agritourism. PT Pagilaran Holding Company located in Jl. Faridan M. Noto 11 Yogyakarta 55224. It was handled by Fapertagama institute, Farming Faculty of Gajah Mada University. Started in Pagilaran, and then moved to Yogyakarta. Now, PT Pagilaran has 6 subsidiary company in Jatilawang, Kaliboja, Pagilaran, Samigaluh, Segayung Utara, and Sidoharjo.

One of subsidiary company is located in Keteleng village of Blado subdistrict, Batang regency, Central of Java. There about 150 kilometers southeast of Semarang, located from 840 to 1,600 meters above sea level.

Industry sector of PT Pagilaran produced export commodity like tea, cocoa, coffee, coconut, clove, and quinine. Tea is the main product for export commodity. About 80% of the tea product was export to Europe, US, Australia and Taiwan. The best product are Sigmarasa Black Tea and Sigmarasa Green Tea. “Have a Delicious Tea” is the slogan for Sigmarasa. In Agritourism sector PT Pagilaran has a plant education, mountain panorama, waterfall, camping ground, outbond and sport facilities, hikking, trekking ground, etc.

This plantation established in 1880 by Mr. E. Blink, he is a Dutch Enterpriser. In 1922, Pagilaran Tea Plantation was bought by British government and called Pemanukan and Tjiasem Land's PT (P & T LAND' S PT). It was handled back to Indonesia in 1949 and managed by Farming Faculty of Gajah Mada University and changed name to PT Pagilaran. Today Pagilaran has 1,100 Ha tea plantation.
